The difference between the electric lock and the magnetic lock

Electric latch is an electronic control lock, through the current on and off to drive the "lock tongue" to extend or retract to achieve the function of locking or opening the door. The key part in the lock body is the "lock tongue", which can be used to realize the two states of "closing" and "opening" by cooperating with the "lock hole". The lock tongue is inserted into the keyhole to close the door, and the lock tongue leaves the lock hole to open the door. It is because of the telescopic function of the latch that it is given the name of "electric lock". It is also precisely because of this characteristic that electrical plugs are often used in all kinds of flat doors (two-way opening). At the same time, its "concealed" installation features are more suitable for places with high security requirements for locks.

Electric lock: usually used in glass doors, wooden doors, etc.

Advantages: hidden safety, beautiful appearance, good safety, not easy to be prized and opened.

Shortcoming: the lock hole should be dug during installation, and it is more hard.

The design of the magnetic lock, or electromagnetic lock, is the same as the electromagnet. It is the principle that the electromagnetism is used. When the current passes through the silicon steel sheet, the electromagnetic lock produces a strong suction and tightly sucks the adsorption iron plate to the door lock. As long as the small current electromagnetic lock will produce great magnetic force, control the power of the electromagnetic lock power supply system identification personnel right after the power break, the electromagnetic lock will lose the suction force to open the door. Because the electromagnetic lock has no complex mechanical structure and lock tongue structure, it is suitable for escape door or fire door access control. Magnetic locks are usually used for wooden doors and fire doors.

Advantages: the performance is relatively stable, the repair rate will be lower than other electric locks. It is easy to install, no need to dig the keyhole, only use the wire slot, and the screws can be used to fix the lock body.

Disadvantages: Generally installed on the top of the threshold outside the door, and due to exposure, aesthetics and safety are inferior to the hidden installation of plug-in locks. The price is almost the same as electric lock, and some will be slightly higher.
