The application of organic polymer spray film treatment in Europe is relatively common. Organic polymers widely used in the industry today are polyacrylic resins (electrophoretic coatings), poly (powder coatings), polyvinylidene fluoride (fluorocarbon liquid coatings), and the like. Water-soluble paints of polyacrylic resins have been developed and put on the market in Japan in the 1960s, and have been used in China for many years.
Solvent-based acrylic coatings can also be sprayed into films using electrostatic liquids, which are currently rarely used and have been replaced by water-soluble electrophoretic coating techniques. Fluorocarbon coatings are also sprayed with electrostatic liquids and are now considered to be the most weather-resistant coatings. However, solvent-based coatings are inevitably contaminated with toxic volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and there is a risk of solvent ignition. Europe has developed a new generation of high-durability powders with weather resistance close to fluorocarbon coatings, and is listed in the European Coating Specification (Qualicoat), which is called “second-class powder”.
In addition, fluorocarbon powder has also been introduced, foreign countries have passed the performance test and entered the commodity market, China is still not widespread, only a few companies produce aluminum fluorocarbon powder coating. Other physical treatment methods are basically in the research or development stage, such as ion injection, physical vapor deposition, surface laser treatment, etc., and currently do not have large-scale industrial production conditions. In addition, there is also a surface enamel deuteration treatment process. Although it has been industrialized in the early foreign countries and used in the construction industry, there is no industrialized mass production application in China.
